outh Groups: High School and Junior High: Connected to our STARS high school program, we offer ongoing activities with our High School Youth Group, BBYO, jointly with B’nai Israel Synagogue, advised by Sherry Grooms (see bio) from our Temple and Joanna Puritz from the Synagogue. Focusing on 9th to 12th grade, some BBYO events include our 8th graders. Our students design their own programs, ranging from overnights at the beach or the Temple to trips to regional events with other Jewish youth around our state to learning to community service (credit awarded for STARS and for public/ private school) to worship services to many types of social events, including parties, picnics, bowling, games, and outings, always with great food, music, and fun.
We also offer a Junior Youth Group, for 6th to 8th graders, advised by Angie Holcombe(see bio). These students also design their own programs, which may cover the range of events, which BBYO enjoys.
