TEMPLE OF ISRAEL ADULT EDUCATION

(all classes led by Rabbi Paul Sidlofsky, except when indicated)

We are proud to offer a number of excellent choices for lifelong Jewish learning this year.

Attend one or more of these options:

Introduction to Judaism Class: In this class, we will cover fundamental topics of Jewish life, including Hebrew reading from scratch (optional), Shabbat and Holy Days, Jewish Life Cycle events, History, Israel, the Jewish Home, Reform Judaism, Prayer, Torah and other Jewish Source Books, and more. This series is for anyone, Jewish or non-Jewish, who would like to study Judaism from an adult perspective, but who has little or no background in exploring these topics. Each class will have half an hour of Hebrew read- ing (starting by learning the letters), and then an hour on one of the topics mentioned above. Come to one or both parts of the class, and one or more of the sessions through- out the year. It is not necessary to attend all classes, except for those studying for con- version. Most Wednesday evenings, November through April, 7:00-8:30, at 922 Market Street. No charge for members, $100 for non-members. SEE BELOW FOR DATES.

Beginners Yiddish: Oy gevalt! Don't know a schlemiel from a schlemazel? Come learn the basics of this colorful language.       Taught by our member, Glenn Tetterton.

Guest Speakers: Watch for our schedule of special themed Shabbat services again this year. We will be featuring several excellent speakers throughout the year.
